wee words.

Your Vicinity

Enter a world of possibility.
A world of potential is all but passing you by.
Of all the love in the world,
The universe is inside this little room,
These strong walls will hold us in.
Surrounded in your atmosphere,
A soothe loathing of all that is problematic;
Give your life to the healing hands,
The ones who will get you through.
Give up your sense of direction,
Float towards nothingness,
As my only means to mending.
Chase some neon,
Break some hearts.
But always return to your vicinity.

electric dreams

One of these days you’ll forget your patience,
Leave it waiting at the open door,
Or sitting alone on a broken shelf.
You’ll greet everyone with a broken smile.
And hang insults at the tip of your tongue.
Forget your well-learned manners,
And make noises at the dinner table.
You’ll shame your mother,
And disappoint your father.
So by night we’ll run away together.
Sail on a leaky boat,
With the wind in our hair.
Slowly forgetting the ways of the well trodden,
We’ll sail for centuries,
To the edge of the Earth.
Where the water meets the edges,
There we’ll lower our anchor.
We gaze at the sun and the stars.
We jot down our journey past,
And tell the others where to go,
Our world can be unexplored,
Just they wait and see.
We’ll make home on some island.
Far enough away,
We steal the dreams of the dreamers,
And live off these imaginings.
Of all the mystic scenes and electric dreams.
Where have you gotten to?
